My First Ever Time Lapse Attempt

Offline
#1 jonirwin
Having just recently purchased the excellent LR timelapse programme and just beginning to get my head around understanding the work flow, I have been out and shot my first ever time lapse.

I am looking for constructive feedback as I am not happy with it, probably most people feel this way with their first?

My observations and criticism of my own work are as follows

I think the subject matter didn't help,it was a drilling platform sailing across the bay. By that I mean I think the platform was too small against a vast expanse of space?

I can't decide whether the image flickers or it is juddery or possibly both, either way it does not look seamless enough compared to other great work on here.

If it helps you to give feedback and understand what I did on the shoot here are my settings

1) Canon 5DMKII
2) Canon 24mm F4 lens used widest aperture manual focus and stabilisation off
3) Lee ND10 filter
4) ISO 50
5) Everything turned off in camera so they were pure RAW images
6) 3 Second exposure with an interval of 10 seconds in total just under 300 shots

I am sorry this is a lengthy message but really struggling and could do with some help so that I may improve.

I thank everyone in advance for any help or advise they care to give me

Kind regards

Jon
