New User - Is LRT4 For Me?

Offline
#1 Bazza
I'm looking to get into time-lapse photography and wondered if LTR4 is suitable for me as an amateur and easy to quickly put together some basic TL's to begin with?

I currently have Lightroom and have seen that LRT4 can integrate with this but I'm not sure why you need both.

Appreciate your thoughts and guidance.

Thank you.

LRTimelapse will do all the time lapse related stuff and Lightroom will do the development of the RAW files.
LRTimelapse is much more then just a tool to merge jpgs into a film, if you want only that, LRT is probably too much for you.
But please check out my basic tutorial: http://lrtimelapse.com/tutorial
You can always give LRT a try with the free version.

Thanks for your reply, I will check out your tutorial.

I don't understand why I need Lightroom to process RAW files.

My intention is use my camera to take multiple pictures in jpg format and then use LRT to put everything together and add special effects etc.

Sorry if I'm missing something but I'm new to this.

Then use a simple program to just assemble JPGs to a film, there are lots available. LRTimelapse is for more advanced stuff, mostly if you shoot raw timelapse, keyframe them, deflicker etc.
