Hi all, has anyone tried this with the Panasonic S1? I know the camera does have one built in but still would want to use this as well. I did tried a few times yesterday and oddly enough everytime it would start to records video. I did use a small 2.5 cable connector that came with a separate remote shutter for my other Canon camera. But it should make no difference as long as its 2.5mm connector. Thanks

Have you plug in the cable completely? Please double check. If the problems persist please try a specific cable for your camera. Also check, if there is any menu setting wich sets the camera to record video when it receives an external signal.

Thanks Gunther. It seems on Pano camera they use a P6 cable that has 3 rings at the end. I was using one that didnt have this.
