Just a quick question about 3-way auto ramping. Would the change of the aperture effect the DoF of the images or since the transition from day to night (and vice versa) will make the DoF un-noticeable?

Of course it might - it depends on the subject and how close the foreground is, if you notice it in the final video.
Mostly I ramp up to f/4 only (not to f/1.4) and this is mostly barely noticeable in the final video. I don't see this as a problem at all.
