I am looking for some advice on purchasing a dedicated night time lapse camera and FAST lens.  Naturally, the camera will need great low light exposure and low noise during long exposures.  I have skimmed over DPReview.com but am not sure how to evaluate the low light and low noise performance of the cameras.  I don't have a specific brand preference and would prefer to find a camera that has features which objectively make it great for time lapse.

What I use for this scenario it the Nikon D750 with the Sigma 20mm f/1.4 Art lens. This combination is very bright and the Nikon has a huge Dynamic range and you still get 24MP images.
