How often should I adjust the exposure during shooting

Hi I am Mohamed from Cairo and I have a question regarding how often should I adjust the exposure during shooting? (which will result in flickering)

My question is : Which scenario does LRTimelapse fix better

Scenario 1 : I adjust exposure every 1/3 stop (results in lots of 1/3 exposure jumps).

Scenario 2 : I adjust exposure every 1 Stop (results in few 1 stops exposure jumps, however during sunset the amount of light decrease very quickly so this will also result in lots of 1 stops jumps ).

Thanks

I'd adjust by 1/3 stops. Just make sure to leave at least 3-4 frame between each adjustment.

Hi gwegner
yes but sometimes during sunset the amount of light decrease very quickly it could not wait for a 3 or 4 frames till it decreases again so I adjust exposure before even taking 3 or 4 frames ?

Maybe you should use shorter intervals then? I never use intervals longer then 20 secs, mostly shorter.
If it's still too fast, because you are near the equator, leave at minimum one frame between the adjustments.
