So if I already edited a sequence then closed LRT and LR then later come back in to do more edits, how do I re-synchronyze LRT to LR to conduct more edits?

You can always restart where you left at any time in the workflow.
If you want to reedit keyframes in Lightroom, just do this, then save metadata for the keyframes and resume the lightroom workflow from the second workflow row.
If you want to restart completely with a fresh editing, just remove the sequence from Lightroom, then use "Metadata/Initialize" in LRTimelapse, and start from the beginning.
