Hi there!

Have been playing around with QDSLRDB and LRTimelapse on Mac, wondering if there's a way to tell the app where I am so I can use NTC properly? 

Might have glossed over something, but it would be nice! Auto HG seems to stay very bright even much after astro twilight.

Auto NTC will use the GPS coordinates of your smart device. Currently it's not possible to set the location manually.

You can check the coordinates on the main screen when you click on “sun pps“.

How does one get GPS location on a laptop then? I've been using a Macbook Air to control two cameras at once which is quite handy.

I guess it's not possible currently. Please ask the developer to add that feature, I've already done. You can reach him via dslrdashboard.info

If i may jump in here; i also contacted Zoltan a couple of months ago and he stated he would try and add the option of manually inputting the GPS coordinates in the next release.
