should LRT max CPU usage when rendering?

Hi All,

I had a PC built specifically to edit and render timelapses (my first, I've been using Macs since 1984) and I was sure that, when rendering jpegs from Lightroom and movies from LRTimelapse, the CPUs would max out.

Now they never seem to be used more than 50%.

I know that this is a PC tech support question, but I was wondering if anyone would weigh in: should these two apps use 100% CPU, or am I remembering incorrectly?

Cheers!

Lightroom 6 uses cpu better then the former versions, and I can not do anything about that.

LRTimelapse uses muliple cores, especially when rendering the video and when creating the visual previews.

Thanks Gunther, for this reply. Sorry I didn't say that earlier (I always subscribe to email alerts when posting to forums, but for some reason I haven't been getting all of them from here).

I can confirm that LRT visual previews max all the cores of my PC, renders too. LR 6, not so much.
