Hello all,

i'm new in timelapse photography and started to learn the workflow with Gunters Book (great level of detail!). I installed the QDSLR App on my updatet Samsung Galaxy A5 and connected the App over Smart remote in the Application center of the camera with the Phone. Everything worked smooth, but i'm not able to control iso, shutter and exposure time in the Lrtimelapse menu , thats why the auto holy grail function is not working (i also tried that). The camera is on Manual mode.

I tried it with my sony a7ii and the a6000 on my computer and the mobile phone. I also reset my sony a6000 back to fabric condition to ensure that i did not change anything in the settings. But i face always the same problem: I can't control the plus / minus buttons of exposure/iso and shutter.

Did anyone have the same problem? Do i need to change anything in the settings?

Thank you for help!

cheers,
Jan

You cannot control that buttons, while Auto Holy Grail is active. You need to do that before activating it.
Once you activated Auto Holy Grail, the Algorithm will take over and do all the adjustments. From then you will only change the reference value. In any case make sure the camera is in M Mode and Auto-ISO is off!!

If you cannot change the Camera parameters while AHG is deactivated or on the main screen, it might be an incompatibility with your camera. In that case please reach out to the developer via https://dslrdashboard.info

Hello Gunther, unfortunately this was not the solution. I'm just not able to control the camera. I tried it before activation of the auto holy grail function A friend of mine uses the same setup (A6000) and it works perfectly. Thats why i think that i have some wrong settings. We can't identify what.

Do you have any other idea what i could do?

thx,
Jan

I'm not an expert with Sony cameras... Please use the search feature, we had the Sony / qDDB setup a couple of times here already. Here is a video from a user: https://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-l%C...tion-qdslr (German, but maybe it helps).
