Strange color change where no keyframe is

Hi again!

I recently contacted you about a whitebalance change in my timelapse. After trying what you suggested and even reinstalling the program and converter i still have the same problem. This problem really messes up my timelapse and i would like if you would help me solve this problem.

Here is a link to one of the lapses this hapend with. I have tried editing a few different timelapses and have the same problem with almost all of them.

This might have different reasons. Often Lightroom introduces such effects, when you use the more "intelligent" tools, like Dehaze, Clarity, or strong Whites and Blacks. Sometimes is something introduced by the camera/sensor. But in your case I'd bet it's Lightroom.
I'd suggest to redo the sequence - start from scratch with "Metadata/Initialize". Edit less, use the parametric Tone Curve to tweak the contrasts instead of the basic controls. Avoid using Dehaze too much. Try if you can improve it.

I believe that I've narrowed down one reason why this was happening to me: not having the eyepiece shutter closed during the sequence shoot. Any light that comes in through the rear eyepiece can modify your exposure. For me, I believe it was something like a cars headlights from a driver that was behind me (someone pulling in or out of a parking lot nearby). The light can also come from yourself, if you use something like a colored head-lamp during a shoot.

If your camera doesn't have an eyepiece shutter, you might be able to buy a cap that fits it. Or you could just use black tape.

Ah - that's indeed a possible cause. It's always advised to close the eyepeace, especially if you work with ND-filters and/or long exposure times.

Hey Gunter!

I tried some of the things and narrowed it down to the dehaze tool. Without adding any dehaze the timelapse worked just as it should! I can still use the clarity tool.

Thanks for a quick and helpful customer service!

Yes, dehaze should really be used with care because it "does things". See: https://lrtimelapse.com/news/use-the-new...me-lapses/
