Video rendering lighter than images

Offline

The last few videos I've made have rendered lighter than the original images or the intermediary images (which look the same).  It's significant enough that I have had to re-edit the intermediary images 1/3 stop darker to make the final video look right.

I tried rendering in ProRes and h264, and there is no difference, too light.  When I render a Preview, it looks better, but that may be a perception of higher contrast in the smaller format. This is all using LRT 5.06, and happens on both my laptop and desktop.

Is there something I might be setting wrong?

Thanks,
Don

I'm getting ready to process about 25 time-lapse sequences and still have the rendering problem.  Here is a screenshot of what's happening.  The top is the first frame of exported intermediary tiff images, and the bottom is the beginning of the rendered video.  Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks, VLC is much better. And thanks for making 5.0 faster before I started all this.
