Video workflow (final video looks different to individual RAW files in Lightroom)

Hello! A little help please.

I have been using Resolve to colour grade my video sequences from my Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera. But today I thought I'd see how editing a sequence in LRTimelapse would work (simply as a test).

So, it seemed to go very well, but when I viewed the final video it doesn't seem to have adopted the changes I made to the RAW files (even though I did the usual 'go to folder in library', and then 'read metadata from files', after the changes were made to the keyframes). I have attached a photo below showing the individual RAW file and a paused frame from the final output video.

As you can see from the photo, the left image is the edited RAW file and looks soft and visually pleasing, but the right image (from the final video) has higher contrast and the sky is blown-out

Any help would be much appreciated as, to be perfectly honest, I would much rather use Lightroom to colour grade my video!

UPDATE: It seems Windows Media Player is to blame. I just played the video with VLC Player and it looks exactly the same as the edited RAW file. Does anyone know why Windows Media Player would display a video in that way?

Media Player fails with color management. So does Quicktime on mac.
