Obviously you did not embed that data when converting to DNG. Exif should normally be embedded automatically, but for the previews you can choose. Try running the DNGs in Lightroom through "Convert to DNG" again, then make sure to set it to embed previews.

However, I'd rather suggest to upgrade your lightroom to the latest version that will support your files directly.

sorry for disturbing. I would love to work with LRTimelapse, so I just installed the latest free trial version to work with my first time lapses.
Unfortunately, I already get an error message before the actual screen of the program opens. 
It asks me to install an additional RAW package (!?), which I did - but it did not help.
I am using a Nikon D610, I'm shooting in RAW, I just installed the latest Mac Version, as well as the latest Java and Adobe DNG Converter Versions.
Regarding to the workflow, I imported all NEFs in Lightroom, edited them and than saved "Metadaten in Datei". In LRTimelapse, ignoring the inital error message, the NEFs are loaded but there is no Preview.

Additionally, I have already reinstalled LRTimelapse.

I hope you may help me.

Hi Felix,
there is no additional RAW package to install. Just the Adobe DNG Converter. Please make sure that the DNG Converter is installed to its default location, otherwise the location has to be set in the LRTimelapse settings under "External Programs".

If you still get that error message (I assume it's about the DNG Converter not being found) please tell me exactly what it says. It might help to send me your logfile too (info-menu, show log).

Obviously LRTimelapse does not get execute permissions on your /usr/local/bin folder - please set the required permissions on that folder and the files in that folder (755).

I found where to change the path to the ExifTool in LRTimelapse, but I could not change the location of the ExifTool when reinstalling it.
Sorry for my stupidity, but how can I change the permissions?

Please don't change the path to the external programs, if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

First thing I would suggest to try, is reinstalling LRTimelapse. Download a fresh copy from http://lrtimelapse.com/download and run the installer.

Only if this does not solve the problem, open a terminal on your mac then type:

New user here....when I hit "visual previews" the program runs through and turns the strip at the bottom of the image preview RED not GREEN as it works its way through. When its complete it won't actually let me run a visual preview or access the "visual deflicker" option. Have watched the tutorial several times and tried with multiple sets of DNG files. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

You need to have installed the latest DNG converter from Adobe, you'll find the link here: http://lrtimelapse.com/install

If this still doesn't help, check the log file (info menu/show log) - and if you can't find out what's wrong send it to me please!
