I am going to leave a canon camera in a remote location with a 128 GB memory card.

There will be more than 10K photos.

does the 10k  and up photo gets in a new folder ?

As the numbering will go to 1 again I am concern....

Normally the cameras start new folders after an overflow of the numbering at 9999. The LRTimelapse importer can later grab all images from the card and rename them with unique and distinct names.
