Question

I've just installed beta 3 and it's starting up with the old Apple 6 version of Java rather than the Oracle version 7.

Is there anything I can change to fix this.

Normally on Mac you can define in the Java-App (tools) wich Java environment should be used. I didn't change anything...

In Java Preferences my first two choices are Oracle followed by the old Apple Java.

Even after a restart it still starts up with version 6.

I made the change you suggested and now it won't even startup.

Checking my java version I get

java version "1.7.0_06"
Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_06-b24)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.2-b09, mixed mode)

The error message is

Cannot launch "LRTimelapse 2"
No compatible version of Java 1.7+ is available.
