During Visual Preview processing, make the progress indication consistent with the other processing steps:  Use the progress bar at the upper right of the screen, and most important, show the progress in the taskbar icon.

Creating visual previews is not like the other processes, that show the bar, especially since that preview creation happens independently, while the other processes wait for each others. If you have LRT Pro, you can put the Visual Preview creation into a background task, then you'll see the progressbar and get also the progress displayed in the icon. But then it's a background process.

Thanks for the quick response.  I have the pro version.  I've set the number of treads to the recommended eight.  Is there something else I need to do to push it into the background?  Thanks, Frank

Yes, just switch to the next folder you would like to process and you'll be asked if you want to put the preview generation task in the background.
