There should be no problem with running LR TL on the Lion. I have been running it for quite a bit already and have no problems with it thus far. Though there was that issue that it freezes when minimized but with the release a couple of months back, it was already dealt with and have had quite a good response already. I am not sure what the problem is on your end.
