Hello

I currently use the following workflow http://lrtimelapse.com/workflow/ with photoshop being the software to export the movie as the last step.

Question:

Would it be beneficial in anyway to skip the last step (4) and place all the still photos as 1 frame elements directly on a timeline in FCP or Premiere?

I never tried it but why not? You would save one encoding step - you'll have to check yourself if your computer have enough performance to make the editing directly on the image sequences.
