Which problem? There is no problem as far as I'm aware of. Just check my tutorials to learn the workflow. Pro gives you more features but does not solve any "problems".
LRTimelapse needs Adobe Camera Raw or Lightroom as Raw-Development engine.

.RW2 raw files in Lightroom are the issue. Lightroom won't preview them and won't import thus far in my research.

I'm thinking that LRTimelapse Pro can do a DNG file conversion to solve this issue.

Any thoughts on the matter?

You can convert to DNG in LR as well. Then any version of LRTimelapse will read them.
Please make sure to reset any develop settings before converting and embed a preview.
