Thank you very much for this tutorial.
I just received my TP-Link MR3040 and am about to install the new firmware.
My question is very basic. Can I use a MAC running El Capitan or is it necessary to follow the setup using a PC to do the firmware installation?
In the demo you set your dslr dashboard to 1EV. Can you please explain why this is better than using 1/3 steps. Thanks!
Sam
I didn't watch the video, but I'd recommend to have the camera set to 1/3 stops.
My question , can I use the Canon EOS 80D? I use a 5Ds and 600D without problems. Greetings Jens
Thanks for making and sharing your video. Terrific.
Received my TL-MR3040 this afternoon. The firmware upgrade went like clockwork thanks to your instructions and I am now connected to my D810 via a Hudl2 before dinner!
Thanks again
I cannot get the IP address to come up. the instructions say: Access the MR3040 OpenWrt web interface by opening a web browser and entering
http://192.168.0.1 (the default username/password is admin/admin)
Any advice?
Joe
Make sure that tplink ist properly connected to the computer via a LAN cable and that the computer has no other network connection. Make sure that theTPLink is set to "AP" mode via the switch too. Then try
http://192.168.0.1 - you could as well try
http://192.168.1.1 if it doesn't work.
For more help please tell us if you are using windows or mac.
Looks like the video tutorial has been removed from YouTube. Says it can’t load. Anyone have a current link?
