Today I went out and bought a Galaxy Note 8. The main purpose will be to use it for DSLRDashboard to control my 70D.

I am able to connect to the camera and shoot via EOS Remote but I could not get DDB to see the camera and connect to it. Tomorrow I will buy an OTG cable but connecting via wireless is my dream.

Is this possible at all ?

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers

Woooo-hoooo!

Houston, we have lift-off!

Camera connects to the tablet and DD recognizes the camera. It is fully functioning via wired connection.

At least, I am operational albeit lacking the comfort of the wireless connection.

The next step is to work on the wireless issue. If there is a way to connect via built-in wifi that would be fantastic.... if not, I'll go the router route Smile

Any hints, tips will be greatly appreciated.

Best

I'm working on Canon WFT support with the Gunther helps but the main problem is that I only have 650D that dosn't have the wifi.
Hi Zoltan,

Thanks for your answer.

Please take your time for Canon WiFi issue. I wish we were neighbours and I could lend my camera to you!

Today, I made a search on the internet and found out that the router was available in Turkey. I've ordered one immediately. Hope to get it tomorrow or Wednesday.

The setup will be much neater without the router but it is not a big deal.

I'm grateful to you and to Gunther for your united efforts to make timelapsing even a greater fun!

Best wishes

As I reported here, the TP router method perfectly worked for me.

Thanks you all who contributed to this solution.

Please if you can try the new cross platform qDslrDashboard.
With help of Gunther I managed to get the Canon 6D internal wifi to work.

Hi Zoltan, this is very good news.

Actually, last weekend, I tried to connect to my 6d but I was not successful. If Gunther managed to connect then it means I was not doing it right. This week I won't have my 6d with me but I can give it a try with my 70D.

Now, I am curious to know what I was doing wrong ????

Cheers

You need the latest version V0.1.4 of qDslrDashboard
OK, I will install that, thanks.

Good news! 70D connects to qDSLR Dashboard and apparently the available functions are working.

Hopefully, tomorrow I will test the LRTL Holy Grail function in the field
