Hi,
I just bought a secondhand Nikon D5100 for timelapse and im trying to figure out the best way to power it with DSLRDashboard and my dynamicperception rig. I really want to run everything off 12v external batteries so i can have it running for 8-10hrs and not have to change batteries.
Anyway the question is;
The D5100 looks to be able to take a battery coulper (dummy batterys with a cable to external source) is anyone doing this with a D5100?
If so what solutions did you use.
I have seen heaps of adapters etc for Canon and only wall adapters for Nikon, so not sure if there is a dedicated solution out there I am yet to find or if i need to buy the canon 12v DC converter and a Nikon DC coulper/wall charger and splice them together.
These are what im talking about splicing together.
