Full Version: Bulb ramping issue

Hi - I have this issue with bulb ramping. For some reason there is a dip in the start (see picture), that may have something to do with the sun tricking the light meter, or my bulb ramping device. As you can see, when bulb ramping is used, all exposure times are set to 1 second in the exif data. It might be an issue with my camera, but this gives me the issue that "match total exposure" in LR does not work (because the Tv and Av according to LR is the same).

A few questions, that I hope someone can answer:
1) Any guidance on light metering modes that would combat this issue in the first place?
2) How can I use the main brightness values in LRTimelapse to calculate the needed exposure correction manually in LR?
Without proper exif data, the holy grail wizard will not work. So please just use the Deflicker workflow for that sequence and make sure to remove all orange keyframes first!!

I'd recommend not using bulb ramping devices, instead try the approach that I've outlined in my Holy Grail tutorials here:
