It does not happen too often, but it happens; that a few frames are dropped. I have typically copied the frame before the dropped one to keep the same time flow in the video, but it is not a perfect solution.

Would it be feasible to include a function in LRT to fix this? I.e. look at the changes between the two frames and create an intermediate frame that "fits"?

The focus of LRTimelapse is to do it's work on XMP metadata. What you want would be a pixel based interpolation that could only be done on the exported, intermediary files. Currently I don't see an easy way to implement this into the current workflow but will keep it in mind.
