I have done a good sunrise with 2-ramping with ISO and exposure length, but would like to add aperture changes. I know that this will cause flicker, but can't I just remove the flicker in post-processing? Or is it too much of a issue?

With the new visual deflicker in LRT4 you should be able to remove that flicker very well. Just try it.
