Full Version: Holy Grail without touching camera?

Hi Gunther, I recently read your ebook and have a couple of questions:

1) Is there any way to change camera settings without touching the camera and potentially causing it to move? I have a canon 6D and use a Polaroid intervalometer. I know you discuss the qDslrDashboard app, and I did download this app but couldn't figure out how to get it to pair to my camera. I have had limited success with Canon's EOS utility program for wireless control as well. Are there any alternatives?

2) The best location for a timelapse I am working on is from my upstairs porch. However, it is not the most stable location and cars going by and people moving in the apartment cause vibrations. So every few frames, I will have an image that is slightly off from camera shake. Is there any way to account for this in LRTimelapse?

Thank you,
Zach
1) Try getting qDDB to work - it's an awesome solution and brings everything you need for timelapse. Check out http://dslrdashboard.info or my tutorials on http://lrtimelapse.com/tutorial/ (tab "Shooting the Holy Grail").
If you don't succeed, please use the special forum: http://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Forum-lrtim...rdashboard
There is a good documentation too on http://dslrdashboard.info

2) No, you can't deshake with LRT. You would have to use Adobe's Warp Stabilizer for example.
ok, thanks!
Magic lantern has a learning curve to it, but I've had good results using it for ramping and the LRT holy grail wizard picks up the transitions with no issues.

If you go down that road look into using auto ETTR and the adv_int module.
