I am thinking of buying a new computer and want to get the specification right.  I know its easy to buy a lot of everything if you have the cash, but I wondered if anyone knew specifically what makes Lightroom and LR Timelapse faster?  Specifically import and export and rendering?

I don't want to spend a lot of money on resources that will not or cannot be used - so best to find out what I actually need.

Many thanks,
JR
Mostly Lightroom is the bottleneck, not LRTimelapse. But for both I'd recommend:
- Windows 10 64bit
- Fast SSD for Startup partition
- Another Fast SSD for the time lapse sequences you are editing (later you can move them to a harddrive or NAS)
- Fast processor
- Lots of Ram (16 GB)
- Graphics processor is not so important
- Good color calibrated monitor, best in FullHD or a bit larger, but not necessarily 4K since this again mostly makes Lightroom slower.
Thanks for the fast reply. Would 32Gb of RAM make any difference, or is Lightroom limited to 16?

Kind regards,
JR
More RAM is never bad ;-)
