Hi,

I'm looking for a compact camera to shoot timelapses, when I can't take my dslr with me. I have a gopro but looking for better image quality, and the ability to zoom with the lens.

It's hard to find info on wether or not camera's have an interval timer function built in. So maybe someone here knows which camera's to look for? RAW shooting is a plus, but not a must of this increases the cost of the cam a lot.

Any info?

Thanks!
Hello,

You can look for the Panasonic LX100, it has a fixed screen, viewfinder and fixed lens f/1.7-2.8 24-75mm

costs in the Netherlands now about euro 625.

As it's 2 years out now a new LX200 is expected perhaps in spring.

With kind regards,
Oswald
I second that suggestion on Panasonic LX100. Interval timer is very easy to program and flexible...it even produces a basic timelapse video in camera optionally at the end of a sequence and does a decent job of it.
