has anyone found alternative ideas for the housing of the LRTImelapse Pro-Timer? I have found the housing provided by Logodeckel is not the best solution. The Piece from a 3d printer is nice, but I had to sand down every single piece quite a bit to make it fit. The plastic breaks easily, if not treated very carefully. Therefore I am looking for a better alternative. Any exeperiences with alternative housings or ideas?

best regards

Torsten
Hi

There was a tread in the German speaking part of the forum recently

Nachbau-Variante mit Hart-PVC-Gehäuse

https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?share_f...are_type=t

May be you can use google translate to understand.

Best regards
Monika

Hello:
I have the same problem as you. But still I downloaded the 3D files and I see a bug, because the reset button on the right is missing.
So I dare not send anything to print. And I have translated the thread of the German forum, but I see it a bit dificult.
Also, I do not want to use so much chemical.

I'm waiting for this box:

I think it will serve me, although it has to be mechanized and put 4 AAA batteries. I'll tell you.

Hello everyone:
I continue to look for the most suitable and cheap box for ProTimerFree. The Holy Grail?
This video is just for you to give you an idea of how it can be, waiting for a bigger box sent from Germany to RS components. Price: 9 €.
In a few weeks I can show you the final prototype (I hope).

I encourage you to continue contributing ideas to this Gunther project.
A greeting from Spain:

The reset button is missing for a reason. You don't need it. We left it out because it would be fatal if you hit it incidentally when shooting in darkness because you confused it with another button. This would ruin any shooting running.

Perfect Gunther, and excuse my confusion by thinking it was a mistake. It's really a great success. Thank you very much one more time.
Hello friends of the housing:
With this video and these photos I finish my contribution to this idea of finding an alternative box to Pro-Timer Free.
https://youtu.be/RvM1Ijzydvw

I added subtitles on youtube and a link in the video description to help you find this alternative box. I can assure you that everything worked perfectly.
A big hug for everyone ... now it plays: keep improving.

I was able to find a person locally who has a 3-D printer and he made me one using the downloaded files. Still had to do some sanding, but it saved shipping from Europe. Might try 3-D hubs. They offer a service for connecting people who print local to the one who needs something printed. Still made of resin I think.
Hi, greeting from Singapore. I did my second timelapse using QDD recently and I am interested to build this as a side project. I found local 3D printer here in Singapore and successfully loaded the 3D files to the site for a quote : https://www.3dhubs.com/

I think it can be used for finding 3D printer outside of Singapore as well. The price quoted is pretty reasonable (material dependent). Less than USD$10 inc local delivery (2-3 days turn around time) using PLA or ABS. Any one can share what is the difference or recommended material? For $10, I would probably go with ABS.

Will share my progress.. Thank you for this wonderful idea.

PS : I will be using this with my Sony A7RII & A7SII.
Hello Torsten,

I have just read your post regarding Pro Timer housing. That's been some time, but maybe you're still looking for an alternative case. I was in the same position and have since found a solution:
If it is still interesting for you check here:

and use Google translator for german text.
