Hi Gunther,

Just curious about something.  Does it make a difference as to whether or not you actively convert your .NEF photos to .DNG with the Adobe DNG converter or if you just import them into LRTimelapse as .NEF files?  I've been wondering about this for a while.  It seems that it works either way.

In terms of quality it makes no diffence. DNG save a bit of space, but NEF or CR2 workflows are faster because they use XMP sidecar files - for DNG Lightroom insists in writing the XMP data into the files themselves.
