Why do you prefer the extern timer ?

Until now i have no problem with the internal timer from qdslrdashboard?

What are the details why you use the external timer?

The timer from qDslrDashboard is not always accurate with the intervals. Check the "Interval" column in LRTimlapse. Furthermore, if the app or tablet crashes, the timelapse will be aborted. If you use an external timer, it will continue shooting and you can just restart qDDB to continue ramping.
But of course, if I don't have an external timer at hand, I use the internal one too.
