I contacted support and they said the new firmware will be released at the end of March.

So I contacted support today to see if there has been any progress in this "pro mode" we have been hoping for. They are signing up users for beta testing as per their response this morning. So perhaps some of you may want to contact them and test this new firmware update. See below.

Hi Scott,

Thank you for reaching out to me. We are about to begin Beta testing for this update. I'd be happy to put your name on the beta list and will reach out to you in the next few days.   Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.

I just got in touch with them and they put me on the list for the beta as well!

I just installed the 1.50 beta version of the Motion software and ran a time lapse where I had complete control over the shutter speed!  So far so good.  Attached is a screenshot of the new menu showing exactly what you can control!  Now I need to get this out into the field to run a real day to night time lapse![Image: http://i66.tinypic.com/2n71oo4.jpg]

So you can freely define number of shots and interval now?

There are 2 menu modes. In Classic, you define duration and playback and Motion calculates # Shots and Interval. In Rhino menu mode, you define Shots and Interval and Motion calculates Duration and Playback for you.

So does this mean in Pro mode I can use my View intervalometer from Timelapse+ do do ramping motion shots?
Didn't know if the camera controlling the shutter speed would allow stop shoot move control or not now.
Would be great if it did

It is suppose to work, yes.  You connect the output of the Rhino controller (or trigger) to the View+ aux2 port,
so it controls shoot-move-shoot and intervals, and the View+ normaly to the camera.  The View+ then takes care of ramping and all.
(you have to apply the right settings for the triggering port choice with the View+ timelapse menu as well)

You'll probably have to set a longer interval because of the longer ''triggering chain'' tho.
