Vimeo Lines Issue - MattPereira - 2017-12-31
Can someone point me in the right direction please ... when I render my TL from LRT it looks just fine on my Mac, but when I upload to Vimeo it looks like this ... what on earth is going on ?

Which settings did you use when rendering? How does the original video look like? Maybe you could add a screenshot of the render dialog and a Dropbox link to the original video.

RE: Vimeo Lines Issue - Gunther - 2018-01-02
Could you please try rendering in MP4 instead of ProRes. Vimeo will convert to MP4 anyway - it seems as if Vimeo cannot deal well with the ProRes files.
I'd recommend "Force 16:9", "Quality: High", don't go higher than 4K UHD. This is more than enough for Vimeo.
One thing you might try as well is use "Standard Gamut" instead of "Wide Gamut". Let me know!
One more thing: LRTimelapse produces high quality masterfiles that are normally not particularily streamlined for direct "end-use", like uploading on a video portal or playing back on a tv. Normally you would feed those master files into a vdeo editor, add music, add other clips, make a film and then rerender with a bitrate and codec suited for the video portals and upload the result to a video-platform like vimeo. The video platforms cannot deal well with very high bitrate files and that's okay - you don't really need them for the end-output. But you need them for the intermediary step in the video editor to have the maximum quality for further processing.
BTW: I will keep exploring the vimeo compatibility issue.

one thing i did notice, is that if you change Vimeo playback quality from AUTO to 4K (or 1080p) then it plays back fine ... !

Ah, that's interesting to know and it leads to the conclusion that this might be an issue on vimeo's side when converting down the file.

I’m having the same problem on Vimeo. Sometimes selecting the correct quality setting fixes it. (Youtube seems fine either way.)
I hadn’t really thought about the video being “intermediate.” Thanks for the tip.

So, after much testing and doing exactly what you suggested (MP4, HQ, 16:9, Wide Gamut) all is good. Everything I have output since then now works fine.
The whole concept of high-quality master files was not something I had considered, but makes complete sense.
So thank you very much for the input. I have successfully started my 52-Timelapses-in-52-weeks project for 2018 and LRTimelapse is at the heart of all the processing ....
