5.04 Not saving XMP - ytwong - 2018-02-21 I just updated LRT to 5.04 (from 5.02) and seems LRT5.04 is not writing XMP files even when I clicked force save. Is there a known bug ? I'm using Win10. Thanks. RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - Gunther - 2018-02-21 No, not that I'm aware of. What makes you think that it's not writing XMP files? Maybe you are just working on different folders in LRT/LR - sometimes this happens when you incidentally had "Copy" selected in the the import dialog instead of "Add". Check out this faq also: http://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-keyframes-metadata-editing-from-lrtimelapse-not-visible-in-lightroom-or-vise-versa RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - kimsmithphoto - 2018-02-22 I'm having the same problem. I just bought LRT today and installed. I edit keyframes, and hit reload. Keyframes are read fine. But when I hit "auto transition" I get an error window saying "could not write XMP-metadate for..." and it lists all the files. This is happening with Sony ARW files, so I tried re-importing them and converting them to dng. Same problem. Quick update: I started over from scratch and used the sync script as prescribed rather than copying and pasting adjustments in LR. this seems to have helped. RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - Gunther - 2018-02-22 It this shows up again, please send the log file (info menu). Posted mobile via Tapatalk... RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - ytwong - 2018-02-22 The log says XMP files successfully saved but their modified date were not changed... Now I just want to install 5.02 but I can't find it in download page. RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - ytwong - 2018-02-22 Btw, I remember older versions of LRT takes a little while to save those XMP files and a progress bar was shown, but 5.04 does not show the progress bar when I click save. RE: 5.04 Not saving XMP - Gunther - 2018-02-22 If the log says they have been saved, you can expect that they did. If you really want to be sure, check the content of the files with a text editor. Aww this faq for some tips: http://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-keyframes-metadata-editing-from-lrtimelapse-not-visible-in-lightroom-or-vise-versa LRTimelapse 5.0.4 is the current version and the only one that I give support for. In all the last updates nothing have changed in metadata saving. Btw: the progress bar will only be shown, when something changed (red indicators on the very left of the table). You can force save with shift-s, but normally this is never necessary. Posted mobile via Tapatalk... |
