Best compact camera for dslrdashboard and lrtimelapse - nicotom - 2019-02-15

Hi guys,

I have kids and it becomes difficult to travel with my 5d3. I would like a compact camera which works with dslrdashboard and lrtimelapse.

Does it exist ??

Otherwise, how is it possible to do Holy Grail timelapses without dslrdashboard ???

Thanks

Nicolas

You could go for one of the new mirrorless DSLM, like Canon R or Nikon Z.
There is no compact camera that will work with qDDB. The other way would be to do the adjustments manually with any camera in M Mode.

Hi Gunther.
Thanks for the infos.
No compact camera supported.

Do you know if something in between like the g series could work ? (G1x or g5x or an other brand)
Qddb forum does not mention anything about that.

Thanks again !!

I don't think so... But I'm also only guessing.

Canon G1x or Canon EOS M3 / EOS M10 works perfect with CHDK and this Script
http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Lua/Scripts:_Raw_Meter_Intervalometer
Histogram and metering is done in RAW Data in the Cam. Exposure changes and ISO is done smooth in 1/96EV Steps.

This example comes from the cam without deflicker:

Also smooth aperture ramping is possible:

RAW metering and saving works on my EOS M3 up to an interval from 0.6s

On the G1x there is also zoom and focus ramping possible with a script
