Multi pass deflickering tutorial - lightime - 2020-01-24

Hi,

Is there any multi-pass deflickering tutorial?
I have used the reference area on a sequence on the sky, the sky is flicker free, but I still have flicker on the ground level.

thanks

Yes, of course there is a deflicker tutorial on https://lrtimelapse.com/tutorial/
But of course, if your sequence has contrast flicker (different amount of flicker on different parts of the images) this is not "real" flicker. It could come from clouds shading the light source (sun) then the ground will change brightness. Of course, if you put your reference area here, you will introduce flicker in other parts, which do not flicker.
Another reason which is very common is, that if you did too much editing in Lightroom with non-linear tools like dehaze, clarity, whites, blacks, Lightroom might introduce contrast flicker. See this faq: https://lrtimelapse.com/news/use-the-new-dehaze-with-care-on-time-lapses/

Thanks,

Yes, I did see your "LRTimelapse 5 – Deflicker Tutorial", but it doesn't explain how and when "multi-pass deflicker" should be used.

thanks

Multipass is just a shortcut for doing deflicker and one or more refine steps manually. Basically, it will bring the pink curve closer to the green reference curve, if possible.
