Resolution Question (4K, 5K, 6K, 8k) - hugebob - 2020-01-31

Hi All,

I have a Canon 5D Mark III with a maximum resolution of 5760x3840. I don't know much about video. But, from the little I've found, stills with this resolution would result in a 6K video, correct? If this is the case, would this be my limit as far as LRT is concerned? Trying to produce an 8K render is a waste of time then?

If your camera doesn't provide the resolution for an 8K render, and you still render in 8K, the video will be scaled up a little.
With your camera you have a native resolution of ca. 6K.
