Can't get rid of a slight flicker - big0mike - 2024-01-04

https://youtu.be/nXG9VFXeRzI

About 13 seconds in I'm getting a slight flicker for maybe a second or two. This video has had two separate runs of two passes of deflicker set to 10.

I went back and rewatched your deflicker video and realized I always forget drawing the reference area so I removed the deflicker, drew the ref area, and ran a single two pass deflicker set to 20. This did not help.

The strange thing is I DO NOT see the flicker in the LRTimeLapse preview, only in the final render both via LRTimeLapse and JPGs exported from LR and assembled in Premiere.

Thoughts?

EDIT: I just went back and drew the reference area around the ground thinking maybe since it was the area flickering it may help but it did not have any effect.

Mike

Hi Mike, I watched your video 3 times now but cannot seem to notice any flicker. But maybe that's due to the youtube compression.
If LRTimelapse's Multipass Deflicker with a proper reference area doesn't fix a flicker, generally you can assume that it's contrast flicker and not brightness flicker. This might be caused by different reasons, the most frequent would be lightroom itself. You should watch my expert tips tutorial #5: https://lrtimelapse.com/tutorial/expert - there you'll learn what you can do about this.
Additionally, for such a sequence as your's adding a bit of motion blur when rendering can do wonders to smooth out any residual little contrast flicker.
