Sunset and full moon rise at Villaricos (South-Eastern Spain) - ultrazone - 2024-02-29

Hi all!

I shot this timelapse last summer (31/07/2023) with a Nikon 810D paired with a Sigma 24mm Art Lens, controlled via qDSRLDashBoard on a MacBook Air over WiFi and a router running ddserver.

The big thing for me in this video is that it's my first one with original music. I created the music piece in parallel with video editing, so both grew together!

More specifically into video editing, I have also found new techniques to be very effective on creating a 3min video from just 0:38 of footage exported from LRTimeLapse renderer (was it too long?)

Thanks for watching and for all the help! Feedback appreciated!

Wow, love the music piece, congrats! It looks like your time-lapse has a very low framerate and I think that's a pity. Since you are there and you are doing all this work, why not have a shorter interval during your captures? I also think the title and credits at the start are a bit long, it's half a minute. I used to have a 5 second intro before my videos and already thought that was long. Now I immediately start with the time-lapse. and overlay things during the video. But that's just a personal preference.

First of all, thanks for your feedback!

This time I used a 5 second interval throughout the session, I think this is what you mean with low framerate. I could have used maybe a 3 second interval, will try that way next time but that would mean only 2 second exposure as a maximum given my camera's "dark time". This inconvenience could probably be solved with a smaller f number and higher ISO, so I will try. Other times I have used the "interval ramp" within LRT Pro Timer, but I'm still trying it since it causes the final sequence to "speed up" while the time the interval is increasing.

Regarding the length of the intro titles, I also thought about it being somewhat long, but in the end I just thought it would make sense to accommodate that to the intro of the music piece. Probably it is a good idea to do it the way you say, but as you mention, it all depends on the sequence itself and personal taste. Needless to say it is better to catch viewer's attention as soon as possible!
