No, unfortunately Lightroom doesn't move brushes that you applied on gradients along with the gradient itself.
From my experience as Astro Photographer: I'd recommend to not do too much to the milkyway. It's beautiful as it is.
Just add _a bit_ of contrast via Dehaze, Whites, Blacks, try to nail the whitebalance so that the sky looks quite neutral.
You can use a circular gradient, if you really feel so, but don't start to paint on it, that's just unecessary.

If you feel your images don't "pop" enough, most likely you are not caputring enough light. Go for a fast lens, like the Sigma 20 f/1.4 or 14 f/1.8 and you'll see a huge difference. Not much editing needed then anymore and it will look much better.
Unfortunately 90% of all images and timelapses of the milkyway are way overdone and look artificial and overedited to anyone that knows a bit about Astro-Photography.

Hi Gunther, for mikyway editing I’ve found your ebook very very useful. I’ve used the preset circular gradient filter as suggested and I have moved it to match on the mikway. If I have understood well, doest it move automatically togheter with the mikway? I have used a pan head and I have to say, after the edit in LRT/LRc, the brightness of the mikway stays well even and smooth across the whole sequence.

This was driving me crazy for hours and followed all of the specifications and exceptions to no avail. Through the process of elimination and more hours, I discovered that the gradient filters do not like a -100 setting for the highlights. -99 works fine. Hallelujah!

Hello Gunther,
your expert tip episodes are very much appreciated! Many thanks for that!
In #5 you have shown the issues with adobe standard profiles. This week, I unfortunately had to realize, that no camera matching profiles are available in Lightroom for my new Canon R5... (some more or less dubious, non-free third party solutions excepted). According to answers from Adobe in their support community, it looks like the two market leaders Adobe and Canon seem to have a lack in motivation, to bring that issue forward and resolve it. Perhaps they are afraid to reveal too much of their company secrets. Considering the large number of users it is strange to me, that they can get away with something like that. Especially since the strongest competitor Capture One definitely has profiles.
I'm wondering if that also effects the quality of single photos, but as we learned, it definitely will do in timelapse sequences. Up to now I'd only use my "old" Canon 5D IV camera for timelapses, which has matching profiles. But at least this reduces the fun with my new camera, knowing about the problems with timelapses and maybe even stills with Adobe's ability to properly process the Canon R5's colors. Another little scandal to me...
Regards
Frank
