Minimum interval - DDB vs EOS Remote - bilgebay - 2014-03-22 Hi folks, Today, I made some tests: Cameras - Canon 6D and 70D Tablets - iPhone 5S and Galaxy Note 8.0 Software - EOS Remote via Camera WiFi and DDB via wired connection I opted for RAW+S3 Jpeg With DDB minimum interval where you can reliably change parameters on the camera is 6 seconds. With EOS Remote minimum interval where you can reliably change parameters on the camera is 3 seconds. For Auto HG with DDB the minimum interval is 8 seconds I guess... I have tested this indoors the other night, by reducing the amount of lights. Question: Why DDB requires more time ? Is it because it keeps the camera busy by downloading a larger file from it ? 6-8 seconds can be too much for some cases...eg, if the clouds are moving fast or there are some other fast moving objects in the scenery. Is there a way to minimize this duration ? Thanks Sedat RE: Minimum interval - DDB vs EOS Remote - hubaiz - 2014-03-26 The image download takes some time. The new cross platform version will be faster. RE: Minimum interval - DDB vs EOS Remote - hubaiz - 2014-04-03 Please can you try the new cross platform qDslrDashboard and see if it is faster then the previous Android only version. http://dslrdashboard.info RE: Minimum interval - DDB vs EOS Remote - bilgebay - 2014-04-03 Hi Zoltan, I will check that hopefully on Saturday. Thanks Sedat |
