5D mark 3 picture profile settings - Anamorphic702 - 2014-09-08 So I've been using neutral and flat profile settings from the mkiii when shooting the RAW time lapses, but I've noticed having to do a lot of modifying with contrast/clarity etc. in lightroom is creating some flicker, anyone try a more contrasty / saturated picture profile or can recommend a good modified picture profile? that way it reduces the amount of editing with lightroom for saturation, clarity etc? RE: 5D mark 3 picture profile settings - Michael Lloyd - 2014-09-08 Look through the articles on this guys site. He's a night photographer and an expert on digital imagery. I think that he touches on profiles\ http://clarkvision.com/index.html FWIW- It's worthwhile to create your own profile with a Color Checker Passport RE: 5D mark 3 picture profile settings - Anamorphic702 - 2014-09-08 cool thanks for the link! RE: 5D mark 3 picture profile settings - Gunther - 2014-09-08 Just use the flat profile. That profiles won't be used by Lightroom either, so it doesn't matter which one you use. But for LRTimelapse it's important to have a rather flat profile, because the embedded previews (there the profile is applied) will serve as referece for deflicker. RE: 5D mark 3 picture profile settings - Anamorphic702 - 2014-09-09 ok thanks gunther! |
