Is it possible to continue using the TP Link 3040 as a travel router after you change the firmware to use with DSLR remote?

yep, used it as a travel router on wired connections in Japan and the router provided the wi-fi with no extra config. The router was set up as the instructions on this site but had no other config needed. I just plugged the ethernet into the TP-3040 and set the 3way switch to AP.
