moon jerk / how to add interpolation ? - djoubert - 2015-11-12

HI,
Actually I shooted a moon rise with a very long focale lenth: 500 on an APS/C DSLR.
I did not think about the interval, and as I shooted with DSLRdashboard I put 4s to ensure the process.
The result is that my timelapse is jerked. I guess that with 2s it should have been better?
So how to improve with the postprocessing?
- how to add interpolation images?
any idea about a solution.
I tried LRT plus motion blur, but this is not the right solution in this case ( moon rise on a very thin moon )
Thank you
Dominique

You could try to bring the moon at the same position by animating the crop. I explained this here: http://lrtimelapse.com/news/lunar-eclipse-2015-timelapse/

Hi,
Thank you for your answer.
I had a look to the solution you proposed,
actually, I am not sure to have been well understood?
For this moon rise sequence, I have the moon over the mountain, at the beginning just on the edge, then going away at the top-right at the end. My issue is that from one image to the next one, the movement of the moon is too much due to the focal length/interval.
Any other idea, or maybe the solution you propose is applicable ?
Thank you
Dominique

Hard to say, without knowing that sequence. I would try my approach.

Hi,
Maybe, if you have time to have a look to the sequence I try to improve:

My point is that I should add images ( 2 instead of 1) with interpolation ?
Thank you again .
Dominique
PS : the eclipse timelapse you realised is great ! I was trying to do the same kind of timelapse, but the clouds eclipsed the moon ...
