Error rendering 4K videos - AdamParent - 2016-11-25

Hello,

I don't seem to be able to render 4K videos now.  I upgraded to version 4.7.3 and began working on a new video.  I can render it in 1080 and 3K, but I get an error when rendering 4K.  Changing quality, sharpening or motion blur don't seem to fix the problem.  The render begins, but quickly give me an error: "The external encoder returned an error.  Please check the log file (info/log) for details."

I read the FAQ and suspected that perhaps the TIFF files I generated had different crop sizes and maybe that was causing the problem.  I then tried re-rendering an old project that had worked, and that project now also suffers the same problem.  My new project returns the error after 28 frames.  The old project returns the error after 43 frames.

Here is the log file contents:

I see the errors showing that it "Cannot allocate memory."  I don't understand these errors as my system has 16 Gig.  I've monitored memory usage using task manager and memory utilization never goes above 43%.  Similarly, I have plenty of room on my hard drive.

Other render settings:
MP4
4K UHD
Frame Rate 29.97
Speed 1:1
Quality: Very High
Color Sampling 420
No motion blur
No sharpen
No copyright overlay

Can you help?

RE: Error rendering 4K videos - Gunther - 2016-11-26

I've just released LRTimelapse 4.7.4 where this is fixed.

RE: Error rendering 4K videos - dklmaui - 2018-11-23

OK, here it is three years later and I'm getting the same error with 5.09 in the same situation. Can you look at my logfile and help?

Also, 2nd question: presuming we fix the problem, how do I instruct LRTimelapse to try again without having to go back to Lightroom and spend 2 hours rendering the whole video again when the images it needs exist?

Thanks Gunther!

Error rendering 4K videos - Gunther - 2018-11-23

Seems like a memory problem. Try rebooting, open only LRTimelapse, go to file/render video, select the exported intermediary sequence and render again.

RE: Error rendering 4K videos - dklmaui - 2018-11-23

Update: thanks Gunther, I was able to get this working! I closed anything else on the computer using memory and followed the instructions. Thanks!
