Qdslr switching ISO during night - skcamblock - 2017-01-01

Hello all,

Im Working on a 24hr timelapse. I found out that, during the night on a clear sky, qdslr is switching Iso between 3000 and 4000 iso.
Probably LRT will repair the flicker but I rather not have this going on.
I set the qdslr on "auto direction 40%" and think that is the problem. Anyone ever experienced that?

I also had the problem that the exposure got to bright during the hour before the sunrise. I manually corrected the exposure on the camera. Is this the best way to correct or is it better to do it in the QDslr app.

I now have the qdslr set to review the exposure every 3 images. I think because the interval is 1 minute it will be better to set that to each frame. Anyone experience with that?

Thanks!
Stefan Kuiper

I recommend to not use "Auto Direction". That feature is not well tested and does not work reliably from my experience.
Instead better switch manually from sunset to sunrise in the night after the first ramping (sunset) has been finished.
1 Minute interval is too long. I'd not go higher then 20 seconds, otherwise it will be too fast.
For manual adjustments I'd recommend using the reference value, you can change it manually in qDDB while shooting.

And set it to evaluate every frame? Will that help?

Normally that's not necessary. I'd leave those settings at their defaults.
