Smooth change of capture exposure - Stadly - 2012-05-31

It would be great with a feature that would, based on the aperture, shutter speed and ISO, change the develop exposure for all the images between where the capture exposure was changed, so that these transitions became smooth. I believe this could be very useful for timelapses that span from day to night. At least as a 1st pass. It is not always that it works well to base the deflickering on the preview.

Gunther,

I think what Stadly wants to say is that a metadata based deflickering approach would be a good idea and I second that notion. I thought about it too already and maybe there is even a clever way to combine that with the current deflickering method to improve it even further (apart from the access to linear data as suggested in my other thread).
