Quicker Previews - chris stegner - 2017-05-16 I have a multiple timelapses with 1500+ images each. What is the best way to speed up the preview generation process? I have set my previews up to jpg queslity of 20, but it's still poking around. Here's my system information: Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro5,1 Processor Name: 6-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number of Processors: 2 Total Number of Cores: 12 L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB L3 Cache (per Processor): 12 MB Memory: 96 GB RE: Quicker Previews - Gunther - 2017-05-16 I'd recommend to use the LRTimelapse importer to import from your memory card, then the initial previews will get generated directly on import and it won't slow down the process later. Another recommendation would be to increase the memory provided to LRTimelapse, see: http://forum.lrtimelapse.com/Thread-mac-provide-more-memory-to-lrtimelapse This might help with large sequences. |
