I liked it! Creative way of using something not much seen in timelapses. Do you manually shift focus or with focus ramping gear?

For the focus i 've used a higly complex machine... my hands ;-)
I've changed a little bit the focus every frame (or 2)

I use a nikon D5100 with an astrodon IR filter, and a "SIGMA 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM | Art" for the lense.
I shoot at 3200 iso/ 5sec/ 1.8 (the night of course)
